A Baseband Mixed - Signal Receiver Front - End for 1 Gbps Wireless
A Baseband Mixed-Signal Receiver Front-End for 1Gbps Wireless Communications at 60GHz by David Amory Sobel Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering–Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences University of California, Berkeley Professor Robert W. Brodersen, Chair In 1995, the FCC allocated the spectrum from 59GHz to 64GHz as an unlicensed band, and shortly thereafter, extended this unlicensed band ...
متن کاملA 3.3-Gbps bit-serial block-interlaced min-sum LDPC decoder in 0.13-μm CMOS
A bit-serial architecture for multi-Gbps LDPC decoding is demonstrated to alleviate the routing congestion which is the main limitation for LDPC decoders. We report on a 3.3-Gbps 0.13-μm CMOS prototype. It occupies 7.3-mm core area with 1416-mW maximum power consumption from a 1.2V supply. We demonstrate how early termination and supply voltage scaling can improve the decoder energy efficiency....
متن کاملReceiver Front-end Design for WiMAX/LTE in 90 nm CMOS
The development of wireless communication systems into multi-standard radio architectures that can process a multitude of frequency bands and modulation schemes has lead to a growing demand for wideband receiver front-ends. To allow for portability and low cost, these new architectures also need to be low power, compact size integrated circuits with a higher degree of components integrated on c...
متن کاملIntegrated D-band transmitter and receiver for wireless data communication in 65 nm CMOS
A 140 GHz transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) chip set has been developed in 65 nm CMOS by using on– off keying non-coherent modulation to support high speed proximity data communication. To the author’s best knowledge, it enables the first integrated multi-Gbps data link in D-band by saving power hungry frequency synthesizer, high speed data convertors and complicated digital signal processor. ...
